Ykchaua (pronounced ick-chow-ah) is the ancient Mayan patron god of cocoa merchants. Unlike the Aztecs, the Maya made chocolate a part of everyday life, sharing the drink with others as a social bonding experience, and even growing the trees in their own back yards.

At Ykchaua Chocolates we believe that delicious chocolate should be available to everyone, so we appreciate this ancient Maya philosophy and have incorporated it into our own goals. Our mission is to provide socially responsible, high-quality, "real food", gourmet chocolates & confections at an accessible price. We are launching our line of delicious, health-aware, locally sourced, environmentally friendly, fairly traded, karmically-balanced treats soon, so keep an eye out around Seattle for us.

Merry Mint Brittle is Back, now with *Vegan* White Chocolate!

Nothing says Happy Holidays like Peppermint &White Chocolate, so we decided to make our flagship Cocoa Nib Brittle with plenty of cool seasonal organic Peppermint and then our very own blended Vegan White Chocolate. Regular white chocolate is made from cocoa butter, sugar and milk. Many vegan varieties are full of unpronounceable artificial ingredients trying to imitate dairy. Our own white chocolate blend is dairy free and contains only real food. See for yourself!



CAVEGIRL FUDGE IS MAKING A COMEBACK!
Because Cavegirl Fudge is made with real fruit and has no preservatives, it has some special packaging and storage needs to stay fresh.  Thanks to our wonderful supporters on Kickstarter.com, we were able to purchase a vacuum sealer to make our Cavegirl Fudge airtight and keep it fresh. We are currently working on making this pretty and FDA compliant with labels, and hope to have these bars out in time for Urban Craft Uprising on Dec 1st.The flavors are Original (smooth fudge), Cocoa Nib Crunch (made crunchy with Nibs), Hazelnutty (well, with Hazelnuts), and Bombay Bliss (our popular Coconut Curry flavor of Brittle fame).
